Wow! What. A. Week.
Mark Zuckerberg decided to drop some strange AI images on us all, while also showing us some serious tan lines.
TikTok has been putting in some WERK with major updates and features, X is trying hard to keep people on the platform (doesn't seem to be going too well), and we're all leaning into having a brat summer.
Let's get into it. |
Find a song on TikTok by singing 🎶 |
Oh, man. TikTok is back to stealing features again (and always the best ones!).
The app now allows you to search for songs and sounds simply by “singing, humming, or playing it.” 👏👏👏 Yes, Shazam and Google have had this for awhile, but now TikTok is joining the fun to make it even easier for users to find a song or sound that is stuck in their head: “Spectacular, give me 14 of them right now.”
And not only will TikTok identify the song for you, it will also show you videos that use them. This way you can better identify a trend and how to make it work for yourself (you can also use this tool to identify trends for your social media). All you need to do is go to the search bar, click the mic icon, and select “Sound Search.” Now go off and hum your songs! |

Stop X from using your data for GrokAI ❌ |
It seems like every social media platform out there is training its AI to use your data. First it was Meta and now X is coming for your tweets/posts too! X has automatically turned on the setting which can “utilize your X posts as well as your user interactions, inputs, and results with Grok for training and fine-tuning purposes.” If you’re looking to disable this from happening, here’s exactly what you need to do: - Go to Settings on X on desktop
-
Click “Privacy and safety”
- Click “Grok”
- Uncheck the box
And that’s it! If you have ever interacted with Grok, you can also delete your conversation history with the AI too. |
Watch out Google, OpenAI Search is here 👀 |
Google and TikTok might be shaking in their boots after OpenAI announced it is testing SearchAI. The new feature will make searching and finding the exact answers you’re looking for online a whole lot easier. All you have to do is ask a question, and the new feature will give you “timely answers” that you can also ask follow up questions to. “But how in the world is this different to ChatGPT, Mackenzie?”
Honestly, it sounds the same to me but displayed in a slightly different format. Ever since OpenAI started, it seems as if it was looking to defeat Google being the ultimate search engine and now it’s really taking it to task with SearchAI.
Will this help or hinder them? And will people want this, even after AI search tools are currently under heavy scrutiny. 😬 |
