Instagram wants you to pay for engagement šø |
What an interesting turn Meta has had in 2025. Over the past few weeks, users on Instagram have been surveyed asking if they would pay for more views, likes, and overall engagement on the app.
Ā Wasnāt it just last year that Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, said they would help small creators on the app? And now they want them to pay? Ā
Yikes. Ā The survey had a variety of questions giving you a scale of how much youād be willing to pay to get additional profile views, messages, and likes. Ā
Could this be Metaās next feature inside Meta? Possibly. But it does feel really weird and desperate to ask people to pay for more engagement. Ā Would you pay for more engagement?

We are officially 5 days away from TikTok being banned in the US.
Ā After the Supreme Court heard arguments about why TikTok being banned is against the First Amendment, it seems that the justices might not really care.Ā Ā We're still waiting on the final results from the hearing, but a lot of people don't think it looks too good for TikTok.Ā Ā
And a lot of users have decided they will be boycotting all Meta products and have started downloading another Chinese app called Red Note.
Ā While some billionaires have come forward to put in a bid to buy the app, TikTok has said ānope!ā and is committed to leaving the US on the 19th. Ā
RIP US TikTok! š |
