It's a big week in social media, friends. From being able to reset your algorithm (!!) to Black Friday sales to Bluesky being the next big app you should be on, it's all kicking off. Â
Are you ready? Because I don't know if you're ready... đ |
Reset your Instagram algorithm đ |
Itâs officially happeningâHead of Instagram, Adam Mosseri says you can reset your Instagram feed soon! Â
Instagram is currently testing the ability to reset and refresh the recommendations on the app. Â What does this mean? Â
Well, if your feed has started to feel a bit stale about the recommendations in your feed or Explore Page have felt like they donât really fit what youâre interested in, you can now reset the content. Â
Mosseri warned users that this feature shouldn't be taken lightly. Resetting your Instagram recommendations means that your feed is going to be boring AF at first until Instagram recognizes what you want. Â If you have the feature (and are wanting to do a reset!), hereâs exactly how to do it: - Open your Instagram
- Go to your profile
- Click the hamburger menu in the top right-hand corner
- In settings, click on âSuggested Contentâ
- Click âReset Suggested Contentâ
- Click ânextâ
- Select âReset Suggested Contentâ
And thatâs it! Youâre done. Instagram is gonna have to work hard on getting to know you again once more.

Bluesky hits 20M users đ |
Yes, itâs happened. Bluesky has officially hit âcool,â and Threads seems a bit worried about it. Â
Over the past week, Bluesky has had an average of 1 million new users A DAY signing up to âskyâ? Is that what we call posting over there? Â
While it is still small in comparison to X and Threads, Bluesky is definitely gaining traction and it seems like Threads might be a bit nervous about its competition (I mean, Threads is already stealing ideas from Bluesky). Â
The small but mighty app doesnât seem to be going anywhere any time soon and after announcing it will not be using usersâ content to train generative AI and keeping the platform completely decentralized (AKA: you can create your own algorithm and feeds), it seems like more and more users will continue to be added in the future. Â Are you on Bluesky yet? |
The top trending sounds and songs you need to use to go viral this week. Â
đ
ââď¸ This Is Not What I Want: Creators use this sound to express frustration or disappointment when things don't go as expected, often in a humorous and relatable way. They lip-sync to the audio while acting out a scenario where their plans have been disrupted or they're forced into an undesirable situation.
đ§ Why Is Everyone Acting Weird Towards Me?: This sound is used as a comical way to express suspicion or to call out others for acting differently. The trend often features someone questioning a sudden change in behavior, followed by denied reactions, and a final assertion that something is definitely amiss.
đŹ I Can't Do This: Use this meme to talk about something you donât want to do. Be sure to lean into the humor side of it by talking about something no one wants to do but we, sadly, all have to do.Â
đ Is That It?: This trend uses a short audio clip from an interview with a woman who says, with a mixture of disbelief and exasperation, "Is that it?" The audio is layered over videos or images depicting situations where there's a significant disparity between effort and outcome, expectation and reality, or buildup and payoff.
