  1. Product teasers

Product teasers

Have a new product that you’re going to be selling soon? Give a sneaky little teaser on your feed and/or Stories. This will make your audience enticed by what is going to be on sale soon.

In the teaser, you can share the date of the launch and a blurred photo of the product (if it’s a secret!) to make people save the date of the launch.
Type of post: This can be a carousel post with different images teasing the product but not revealing the full thing.

Host a giveaway

Everyone loves a giveaway! If you want more engagement on your posts, hosting a giveaway is a great way for you to get just that. Plus with a giveaway, you have a better chance of getting even better brand awareness through shares, tags, and more from your followers.

Share memes

Being able to laugh and poke fun at your industry is a great way to connect with your audience. People love to feel connected to a brand, influencer, or business online and a way to humanize yourself online is by sharing humor-related content. i.e. memes!
If you use a meme correctly and jump on the trend in a way that makes sense for your brand, this can help with your brand awareness and even get more of your audience to engage!
Our top tips for sharing memes? Be sure that they make sense to your brand. Don’t jump on every single meme trend that is out there. Make the memes relatable to your audience in a way that they can connect with.

Debunk a myth

With the amount of people who are “experts” in a field online these days, there tends to be a lot of information out there. Set yourself apart online by showing up as an expert in your field—but back it up with your credentials.
One of our favorite ways to create content is by debunking myths that seem to be going around and around online these days. As an expert, find a myth that you know to be false and give evidence why that myth isn’t quite right.
This will help establish you as an authority in the space and give your brand more credibility online.

Share user-generated content

One of the best ways to get people to buy your product or service? By showing others using it! Sharing user-generated content (AKA: UGC) is a perfect way to sell, sell, sell.
Ask your audience to tag you in their photos for a chance to be featured on your Instagram account. You can even create a hashtag for your brand that people can use so you can easily filter through content and share posts that highlight your brand.
Top tip: Be sure to ask for permission before sharing a post and ALWAYS credit the original creator.

Show a tutorial

Do you sell a particular service or product that you might need to show off how to use? Give a tutorial on how to use it and the best way to approach using it!
Posting tutorials is a great way to show off the pain point a potential or current client might have and how your product or service is just the thing to solve their problem.

Share a year in review

What a way to see how far you have come in the year! If you’re stuck for content ideas, put together a post that shows off the highlights (and lowlights!) from the year and the lessons you have learned so far.
And if you’re worried about saving the year in review until the end of the year, don’t do that! You can even highlight monthly, quarterly, or anytime you hit a major milestone in your business!
Type of post: You can create a carousel post with images from throughout the year that are the most memorable to you.

Behind-the-scenes

Think of the last person or brand you followed on Instagram—was it because you liked their overall aesthetic or was it because you liked the human side of them? If you ask me, I like the more human side, and I have a feeling a lot of people feel that way.
Show off some behind-the-scenes of your business or brand. Be sure to show the highlights and the lowlights. Explain what you do each and every day to make things happen.
Type of post: Share a Reel with trending audio to show off some behind-the-scenes moments of your business.

Highlight your employees

As we mentioned above, people like to feel connected to the brands and businesses they follow on social media. A great way to do this is by highlighting your employees and giving a little bio about them! Plus, this makes your employees feel special as well.

Another thing you can do is have your employee take over Instagram for the day. They can share what their average day working for the business is like.
Type of post: You can share a Feed post with information about your employee, or have your employee take over the Instagram Story for the day!

Create a social media challenge

Lastly, create a challenge that people can participate in when it comes to your brand. This challenge can be weekly, monthly, quarterly, or just a one-off thing but it has to make sense for your brand.
Get creative and have your followers interact with the challenge by participating and posting their own version of the challenge. This is also a great opportunity for you to create your own hashtag for your brand and start finding UGC content to post on your own channels!
